Sorting Records

When you are viewing records in an output layout, you may find it useful to change their order. For example, you could view Customer records by Company Name in alphabetical order, or you might want to view them by the size of their AR Balance. This is called sorting. The ACUMEN Order By Editor makes sorting records simple.



Here is an example of sorting the Customer record alphabetically by Customer Company Name.



You could use the ACUMEN Sort Editor to sort by Company Name in ascending alphabetical order. To sort in descending order, click the black arrow to the right of Company Name. The scrollable list on the left is a list of field names for the file you are in. You can add as many sort levels as you need--simply click the field name in the scrollable list.
