| Campaign Management: |
- ACUMEN's campaign management function enables you to track the
effectiveness of your sales and marketing campaigns.
- Campaign management can handle mailing or advertising campaigns.
- General ledger information can be tied to a campaign automatically,
so you can easily track the campaign's cost.
- Campaigns can be broken out into component parts and analyzed
separately or as a whole. For example, you can track the effectiveness
of a specific advertisement in a particular periodical, as well
as for all magazines.
- Campaign results can be viewed on screen or in a printed report.
- Campaign information can be "rebuilt" after the fact, or maintained
in real time.
- Campaign information includes, but is not limited to, sales
and responses per piece, gross and net profit, return on investment,
and profit per piece.

| Contact Management: |
- Event tracking enables you to record and view all communications
with any vendor, author, sales representative, customer, prospect,
or PR contact (Associates).
- You can search for Associates based on any event history criteria.
- Events contain word processing areas, enabling you to quickly
craft a letter or fax to the selected Associate.
- Followup Events alert you to communications you have scheduled,
and optionally present the companies and people you want to contact.
- Assigned Followups act as an Electronic Mail system, enabling
you to communicate through ACUMEN with other people in your workgroup.
- The Memo function is an electronic note pad. It is available
at all times. You can search for entries using multiple criteria.
You can make entries that are private or public. You can even
print out specific entries.
- The network Calendar enhances the ability of individuals and
work teams to organize their time.

| Labels: |
- Standard mailing labels can be generated on laser printers,
on preprinted labels, or on blank labels using postscript graphics.
- You can choose the font and style for most labels.
- You can designate the starting label number, so labels aren't
wasted. This means you can print just one label if you need to,
without wasting a whole sheet.
- You can print directly on envelopes, without the need for a
label.
- ACUMEN comes with six standard label formats. You can use SuperLabel
to design your own formats.

| List Management: |
- All customers, prospects, and PR contacts are maintained in
the same (Customer) file.
- The ACUMEN Search Editor gives the ability to search the Customer
file based on any combination of field criteria.
- Tags are a powerful feature that enables you to assign multiple
keywords to each customer, prospect, or PR contact. You can rapidly
search for companies based on one or more Tags.
- ACUMEN maintains the original source and list code for each
Customer record.
- You can assign your own list codes to labels generated in ACUMEN.
- Every order can have a list code, source code, and order method.
ACUMEN has special functionality to optionally automatically load
this information.
- Using Quick Report, you can create your own customized exports
for sending to a mailing service or selling to other publishers.
- A complete sales history is maintained for each customer.
- The duplicates function enables you to search for duplicate
Customer records based on multiple criteria.
- The Search by Sales function enables you to quickly and easily
locate customers based on over fifteen sales criteria, including
a powerful RFM rating number that consists of recency, frequency,
and monetary value factors.
- ACUMEN's built in word processing capability make mail merges
incredibly simple.

| Word Processing: |
- ACUMEN's fully integrated word processor can handle graphics,
multiple fonts and formats, tabs, style sheets, mail merges, and
more.
- You can create a library of custom letters templates that can
be loaded on demand.
- Letter templates can be automatically created based on the word
processing document that you are currently working on.
- Since word processing documents are stored in Event records,
you are in effect creating a database of all your correspondence.

with ACUMEN. An * following the name of the report signifies that
it was created using Quick Report and is part of the Quick Report
library. |
- Campaign Report*: A listing of
user-selected Campaigns.
- Campaign Report w/Subtotals*: A
listing of user-selected Campaigns, sorted by name and subtotaled.
