Sales Reporting
There are two sales reporting functions
in ACUMEN. Sales Reports are sophisticated, predefined, publisher-specific
reports. You can select from over 35 data views, define two report
periods, and specify sort criteria for each report.
The Sales Export function enables you to create your own report format
for export to a text file. This can be opened by any spreadsheet or
word processor. You can select from over 100 data views, imbed search
criteria, specify sort criteria, and define up to 120 reporting periods.
You can include up to 10 columns of data in each period for each export.
ACUMEN's sales reporting functions give you an increased understanding
of sales, gross profits, return ratios, and much more. Because you
can track these statistics for so many different criteria, you gain
a deep insight into how your sales and profits are generated.
Sales Report Features: |
- Each report contains two reporting period sections: Month of
& Year to Date, Year to Date & Life to Date, or user-defined periods.
- Reports can be sorted by one of three criteria: alphabetical,
sales in the first section, sales in the second section.
- All reports are available for any historical period at any time.
Because the data is maintained for as long as you wish, you can
even report information from closed years.
- You can run Sales Reports on historic sales information that
you've imported into ACUMEN from another system.
- Sales Reports can be saved in Print Batches, making it easier
to print groups of reports later.
- Sales Report printing is run in a separate process so you can
continue to work while you print your sales reports.

| Sales Export Features: |
- Each export can contain up to 120 report periods, with up to
10 columns of data for each period.
- Exports can contain subtotals and grand totals.
- All exports are available for any historical period at any time.

to work while you export.

| Sales Report Categories: |
- Sales By...: These reports include
sales by all of the criteria chosen. For example, Sales by Title
produces a report with sales information for every product you
sell. Sales by Customer Type reports sales by every Customer Type
in the system. You can run these reports for Customer, Customer
Category, Customer Type, Method, Region, Rep, Source, State, Title
or Type.
- Sale by Title...: These reports
will print a complete analysis of product sales for one criteria.
For example, for Sales by Title: Customer, you select one Customer
and get complete sales information for every product the Customer
purchased from you during the report period. You can run reports
for Customer, Customer Category, Customer Type, Method, Region,
Rep, Source or State.
- Sales for Title...: These reports
enable you to choose one product and get a complete breakdown
of its sales by a chosen criteria. For example, Sales for Title:
Customer Type contains the sales for all Customer Types for the
single product selected. You can run these reports for Customer
Category, Customer Type, Customer, Method, Region, Rep, Source
or State.
- Sales by Customer...: These reports
print sales information broken out by customer for one value of
the criteria chosen. For example, Sales by Customer: Region prints
the sales of all customers in a single sales region. You can run
these reports for Reps, Region or State.
- Top Gun...: There are two Top Gun
reports, Top Gun Customers and Top Gun Titles. These reports can
come in handy when you have a lot of products or customers. They
enable you to limit the report to your best 10, 20, 50 (or a number
you specify) customers or titles.
