eCommerce Interchange Optional Module

Purpose
The ACUMEN eCommerce Interchange Optional Module gives your business three important functions:
Web Order Processing, JDBC/ODBC, and the Data Sender.

Web Order Processing
Web Order Processing obtains orders from a web site, automatically converts them to invoices in ACUMEN, and automatically sends optional order and/or shipment email confirmations. You can also assign specified customers to automatically receive email shipment confirmations for all orders whether received by phone, mail or web.

JDBC/ODBC
JDBC/ODBC is used to synchronize data between ACUMEN and other computer systems. For example, web site programs use JDBC/ODBC to dynamically transfer data between the web site database and ACUMEN. CyberWolf uses JDBC/ODBC extensively for communications between ACUMEN & PowerWeb BookT. Shipping manifest systems use it to obtain invoice and customer info without having to export from ACUMEN.

Data Sender
Data Sender enables you to send data out of ACUMEN on a scheduled basis. For example, you can automate sending Product Marketing data to web sellers such as Amazon and B&N. You set up a Data Sender record for each web seller, and then the seller's web site is continuously updated with your latest product info. Currently, the Data Sender sends information to specified FTP sites. It can also send emails and produce PDFs for invoicing. We are also linking it to the sales analysis system, FRW and eMail List Management. It is an extremely versatile vehicle for automating the transmission of all types of data inside and outside your organization.
